,like glass is a one way ticket(you make just one,
unique piece). Not good for duplicating indefinitely.
You sculpt the part in wax;then you make a mold
out of plaster the same as in
walls of cheap buildings. With hot water the wax is then expelled leaving a cavity behind. The cavity is
isolated, with a special and cheap liquid.
Then you mix the acrylic powder with the liquid, wait for 5 minutes, untill its like soft plastic, put it in the cavity and close the mold(metal box).Excess material is expelled.
The mold is then cooked in boiling water for 1 hour.Cool down;open the mold and break the
plaster.
The mold(inside the metal box)is so destroyed
leaving behind the now hard and transparent
parts.
The good thing its a cheap method, all possible at
home. The materials are possible to buy in dental shops.I´ll ad some photos, understand its a very
summarised explanation;because you have to add photos one by one(it takes forever).
Thanks for watching
